The Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA) is set to conduct a webinar entitled “Orientation on TIEZA Tourism Investment and Incentives Program for Tourism and Investment Officers,” to be held on 05 October 2023, Thursday at 10AM (Luzon Cluster) and at 2PM (Visayas and Mindanao) via Zoom video conferencing platform.

TIEZA intends to invite all local tourism and investment officers from the Department of Tourism Regional Offices, Local Government Units and other representatives from public sector across the country to attend this webinar, which aims to raise awareness and update all concerned stakeholders relative to TIEZA’s tourism investments incentives program, investment opportunities, and other offerings and initiatives.

The webinar will be divided into two sessions, the morning session will be designated for Luzon cluster, and the afternoon session will be for Visayas-Mindanao Cluster, which will highlight TIEZA’s core function as the Investment Promotion Agency (IPA) of the tourism industry.

It will also highlight the incentives package which tourism-related business enterprises can avail of once they register with TIEZA under the Corporate Recovery and Tax Incentives for Enterprises (CREATE) Act.

It also aims to encourage investment in TIEZA’s designated Flagship Tourism Enterprise Zones (TEZ), such as Mt. Samat in Bataan, Rizal Park in Manila, Corregidor Island in Cavite, Panglao Bay Premiere in Bohol, and San Vicente in Palawan, as well as in TIEZA Assets which are available for Joint Venture Partnerships, among those are Balacad Property in Ilocos Norte; Boracay Property in Malay, Aklan; Moalboal Property in Cebu; and Balicasag Island Dive Resort in Bohol.

This virtual orientation is designed specifically for local tourism and investment officers from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao who will be TIEZA’s partners in the sustainable development of tourism areas across the nation.
