The Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA) conducted two (2) sessions of Focus Group Discussions (FGD) on 12 and 19 March 2024, at the TIEZA Central Office to present the draft amendments to the TIEZA Guidelines. The agency invited over thirty (30) participants from private sector tourism stakeholders such as, among others, tourist transport services, accommodation services, theme park operators, and representatives from the Tourism Congress of the Philippines.

The FGD aimed to gather the feedback and opinions of the private sector engaged in tourism services with regard to the amendments to the TIEZA Guidelines on the registration of business enterprises engaged in tourism under Republic Act No. 11534, otherwise known as the Corporate Recovery and Tax Incentives for Enterprises (CREATE) Act, and the availment of fiscal incentives, as well as the issuance of permits and licenses under the Tourism Act of 2009.

The Public is encouraged to submit their comments and suggestions until 30 April 2024. TIEZA opened a form where members of the public who are still interested in providing feedback are able to view and comment on the draft Guidelines: https://forms.gle/tdAibmeULW5E9y3D9
