The Technical Working Group (TWG) and Kickoff Meeting for the Preparation of the Regional Tourism Development Plan (RTDP) for Central Luzon was successfully conducted on April 2, 2025, at Widus Hotel Clark, Hann Resorts, Pampanga by DOT Region III and TIEZA with their consultants, the Joint Venture of Woodfields Consultants, Inc and Positive Exposure Philippines.
This kickoff meeting marks the beginning of a collaborative journey among the seven provinces, two highly urbanized cities, and the economic zones of Central Luzon in crafting a comprehensive and strategic roadmap for the region’s tourism sector. The RTDP aims to align diverse tourism priorities across the region, ensuring a unified and sustainable approach to tourism development.
The event also served as the formal convening of the Technical Working Group (TWG), tasked with overseeing the formulation of the RTDP. A key highlight of the meeting was the signing of the Manifesto of Consent, signifying the commitment of stakeholders to work together in positioning Central Luzon as a premier tourism destination through strategic planning, strong partnerships, and a shared vision.
With the endorsement of the RTDP by the Regional Development Council (RDC), this initiative is set to play a crucial role in enhancing local economic development, environmental conservation, and community empowerment through tourism.
