𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐭𝐢 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 — The Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA), under the guidance of its mother agency, the Department of Tourism (DOT), formally launched the preparation of the Regional Tourism Development Plan (RTDP) for the National Capital Region (NCR) during a kickoff meeting held at Makati Diamond Residences on July 3, 2025.
This milestone initiative underscores TIEZA’s commitment to strengthen tourism planning at the regional level by addressing gaps between the National Tourism Development Plan (NTDP) and the Local Tourism Development Plans (LTDPs) of local government units (LGUs). Through the RTDP for NCR, TIEZA aims to develop a cohesive framework that connects national and local tourism goals for Metro Manila. Resolution No. 5, Series of 2024, issued by Regional Development Council-National Capital Region (RDC-NCR) officially endorsed the RTDP’s formulation.
The RTDP will be developed with the expertise of the consulting joint venture between CEST, Inc. and Positive Exposure Productions (PEP), Inc.
TIEZA extends its appreciation to all stakeholders, partners, and consultants who are part of this important endeavor and looks forward to meaningful collaboration in shaping the future of tourism in Metro Manila.
