𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐥𝐚, 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 — The Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA) formalized and sealed new collaborations with three (3) key institutional partners during the 2025 TIEZA-TEZMS Partners and Stakeholders Appreciation Night: Champions of Sustainable Tourism held on 21 July 2025 at the Manila Hotel.
The ceremonial signing of partnership agreements marked a significant step forward in TIEZA’s efforts to strengthen inter-agency cooperation and foster inclusive, sustainable tourism development across the country.
The three institutional agreements formalized during the event include:
- Bureau of Immigration
Facilitating Foreign Direct Investments for Tourism – Through a signed partnership agreement, TIEZA and the Bureau of Immigration will collaborate to support the issuance of the Special Investor’s Resident Visa (SIRV), aimed at attracting more foreign direct investments in tourism-related enterprises across the country.
- Zamboanga City Special Economic Zone Authority and Freeport (ZAMBOECOZONE)
Convergence for Sustainable Tourism Development in Mindanao – TIEZA and the Zamboanga City Special Economic Zone Authority (ZAMBOECOZONE) formalized their commitment to work together in advancing sustainable tourism infrastructure and enterprise development within the Zamboanga Mindanao region.

- City Government of Puerto Princesa, Palawan
Sustainable Development of Sta. Lucia Tourism Enterprise Zone (TEZ) – TIEZA signed a Registration Agreement with the City Government of Puerto Princesa to officially register the Sta. Lucia Tourism Enterprise Zone, a project aligned with the city’s long-term vision for ecotourism and sustainable economic development.
Gracing the ceremonial signing were key institutional leaders and public officials, including Bureau of Immigration Commissioner Atty. Joel Anthony M. Viado; ZAMBOECOZONE Chairman and President Mr. Raul M. Regondola; Zamboanga City Mayor Hon. Kymer Adan T. Olaso; 1st Congressional District Representative Hon. Katrina Reiko Chua-Tai; and Puerto Princesa City Mayor Hon. Lucilo “Cecil” R. Bayron. Their presence underscored the strong support from national and local government units in propelling forward TIEZA’s tourism investment agenda.
These landmark agreements underscore TIEZA’s mandate as an Investment Promotion Agency (IPA) for tourism and reinforce its commitment to driving multi-sectoral partnerships in support of the National Tourism Development Plan (NTDP) 2023-2028.
The signing ceremony was one of the highlights of the appreciation night, attended by nearly 200 guests representing tourism enterprises, government institutions, and local government units. The event served as a platform to celebrate collaboration, recognize achievements, and reaffirm the shared mission of building a vibrant, sustainable, and investment-ready Philippine tourism industry.
