The Technical Working Group  (TWG) and Kickoff Meeting for the Preparation of the Regional Tourism Development Plan (RTDP) for Central Luzon was successfully conducted on April 2, 2025, at Widus Hotel Clark, Hann Resorts, Pampanga by DOT Region III and TIEZA with their consultants, the Joint Venture of Woodfields Consultants, Inc and Positive Exposure Philippines.

Manila, Philippines – The Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA) reaffirmed its commitment to tourism education by signing the Joint Administrative Order (JAO) on the Guidelines for the Utilization of the Higher Education Development Fund (HEDF) on March 24, 2025. The signing ceremony took place at Shell Philippines’ Centennial Courtyard at the National Museum of Natural History, with Assistant Chief Operating Officer (ACOO) Atty. Karen Sarinas-Baydo representing TIEZA Chief Operating Officer Dr. Mark Lapid.

𝐀𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐭𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐭𝐢, 𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐭𝐢 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 – The Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA), in partnership with the Philippine Hotel Owners Association (PHOA), hosted a business briefing entitled, How Hotels Can Avail of the Tax and Duty Incentives under TIEZA. The event gathered hotel investors, tourism stakeholders, and accommodation industry partners to learn more about the incentives program of TIEZA under the CREATE More Act and explore investment opportunities in TIEZA tourism enterprise zones and assets.

Berlin, Germany – The Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA) joined the Philippine delegation at the Internationale Tourismus-Börse (ITB) Berlin 2025, held from March 4-6, 2025.The Philippine delegation was led by Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Chief Operating Officer Maria Margarita Montemayor Nograles, alongside key representatives from the private sector, including Destination Management Companies (DMCs), tour operators, and accommodation providers. TIEZA’s delegation included EnP Francis Randy Hortelano (TEZ Management Sector), Ms. Irene Reyes-Tumaob (Asset Management Sector), and Atty. Ma. Teresa Alvarez (Offices Under the Chief Operating Officer).

The Philippines reaffirmed its commitment to global tourism and investment at MIPIM 2025 (Le Marché International des Professionnels de l’Immobilier) – The Global Urban Festival, held from March 11-14 at the Palais des Festivals de Cannes, France.
